Zika Virus Information
Posted on Jun 25th, 2016

The Fairfax County Department of Health is hosting public information meetings as part of a County-wide effort to raise awareness of the Zika virus and mitigation activities to reduce the likelihood of transmission from mosquitos.

Fairfax County Health Department Disease Carrying Insect Program experts will be in attendance to share information and available resources for staying mosquito-free this summer. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have.

There are two upcoming public information meetings scheduled in the Dranesville District:

Wednesday, June 29 at 7:00 p.m.
Great Falls Library
9830 Georgetown Pike, Great Falls

Tuesday, July 19 at 7:00 p.n.
Town of Herndon Council Chambers
777 Lynn Street, Herndon

More information on mosquito (and mosquito bite) prevention, the Zika virus, and useful County resources is available online at http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/hd/westnile/zika-virus.htm.

For more information about these public information meetings, contact Patti Dinkelmeyer in the office of Supervisor Foust at Patti.Dinkelmeyer@fairfaxcounty.gov or 703-356-0551.
