The Potomac School is a private co-educational school with approximately 1,077 students in grades kindergarten through 12th grade located on a 90-acre campus at the end of Potomac School Road in the Evermay neighborhood.  The School has been in existence for over 120 years and has existed at its current location since 1951.  More information on The Potomac School can be found at its website:  www.potomacschool.org

 

Since the only entrance into the School's campus is on Potomac School Road which runs through the heart of the Evermay neighborhood the School and the Evermay Community Association have a detailed agreement in place aimed at traffic mitigation associated with School-related traffic and reducing other impacts on the Evermay neighborhood.  A copy of that agreement can be found here.  The Evermay Community Association has a committee of neighborhood volunteers - the Potomac School Committee - that monitor the School's compliance with the agreement and meet regularly with the School's administration.
